not here,
here.
i don't blog here anymore
i blog
here
i am seriously not in the mood to do work today.
i seriously only feel like doodling or surfing the net or
doing some other thing that requires miminal brain processing.
i'm in a pretty good mood.
kinda like in a nonalcoholic hangover from the weekend's festivities..
although that was pretty much nothing.
lunch was an exciting time today.
our choice topic of discussion happened to be
muscular boys who have extremely good looking bodies.
so basically i think laughter from these conversations
releases some kind of endorphin /chemical
and that would just brighten up your day.
i have to say that a certain male in your school
has been noticed to have a decidedly hot bod.
someone had mentioned the exact thing that i was thinking:
his arms = pure eye candy
normally that level of muscular perfection
can only be seen in famous celebrities
and only because they're forced to work out and establish a fit body
but the fact that you only see that in pictures in magazines or something
kinda takes away the majesty of it all.
at least that's what i think.
but basically this guy has some big arm muscles.
to tell you the truth,
a lot of the other guys at school
have some kind of ab muscle going on for them.
but you never see those unless they're not wearing a shirt.
the thing is...
muscles have to be there
just not too arnold schwarzenagger-ish
but the kind of muscles that result from long term weekly workouts
no matter how defined,
will always look good.
From my observations of tv dramas, i have come to a conclusion that the first few steps a guy needs to take to win a girl's heart are really simple. Sadly the female sex seems very weak when it comes to being the object of a guy's attention.

Things a guy could do that would make the love of his life reconsider him:
  • be there for her in her time of need / be her prince charming and save her, the damsel in distress (eg. pick up her slipper and put it on her - she will be touched because of the romantic associations from childhood stories of cinderella)
  • understand that what she says isn't what she means (half the time due to dramatic irony, it is easy to see in shows that the female lead says "go away" when she clearly means "give me a hug and let me cry on your shoulder")
  • if you're like a pimple that never goes away, she's sure to grow fond of you (in shows, the male and female leads are always thrown together although they might hate each other at first, but in the end they grow fond of each other and fall in love)
  • be nice to her and let her win because she's right even if she's wrong (that way you can avoid super stupid misunderstandings like those in shows that separate the characters for a long time before each side realizes that they're being stupid and run to each other - if no one steps up and makes a sacrifice, it's harder for you to end up together. besides you're the man who needs to protect the girl.. duh.)

Sure i might be a girl and a little biased but clearly the tv shows all show these problems where males grow wrong in pursuing the girl (there are probably more senarios that i have forgotten to mention) it helps to remember that tv shows do get their money by appealing to the general audience in their careful representation of human nature...so by taking a submissive stance, a guy can succeed in his quest for love. afterall, sometimes by taking one step back and 2 steps forward you still move forward.

What can i say? these insights to human behavior are just one of the many good things that you can achieve through watching tv. So who says watching tv is bad for you?

the weirdest thing ever is to read a teacher's blog.
it makes her seem like more real as a person. totally weird.
weird because somehow she was like less than a person before?
considering i have aunts who are teachers...
reminds me of Qian lao shi. male chinese teacher in sec 1 at mg before we had the aircon..so he had SWEATY ARMPITS! hahaha. sonia and i had fun together then.
anyway gossip girl is this wed.
the male characters are pretty much "effing fit" if i may borrow some uk slang.
trey said he might be able to come with us back to sg this summer.
mum says ok if we actually do go.
problems with the PR thing being done on time means we might not be able to come back so we wouldn't be able to leave.
psat scores: apparently i'm stupidest in writing. but overall i think i didn't ok. i just need to compare the scores to smarter people like ian, hillary and megan before i can feel satisfied.
heavy workload from our dear teachers but i can cope.
i'm in a somewhat good mood so i don't actually mind.
i just have a ton of stuff due. tests this thrusday/friday.
research paper stuff and all the king's men stuff
i wonder if we have CW or if i'll have to watch gossip girl online? hmm.
i wrote a note to chrisie. long one typed.
oh yeah. i figured out how to get my laptop to type chinese words.
extremely helpful if i wanted to search for pictures of wu chun/ fei lun hai /gong zhu xiao mei or something of the like.
i'm on the home computer now and on the guest login because my dear brothers have like monopolized this computer and have their own administrative accounts.
the thing is you go to the control panel and theirs the regional/blah blah option. you click it and you can add language input and keyboards. then if you look for the chinese one or whatever you can add that and a simple ctrl+shift and you can switch from english to chinese typing. amazingly i still know my han yu pin yin wuite well to be able do stuff with it.
i might conisder majoring in Chinese in college. i told mrs willis about it.
sleep is calling.
i watched Gossip Girl.

There are some pretty attractive actors in the show

and this wasn't exactly the best picture i could find

They're pretty hot...or i should say "facially blessed"

So in case you were wondering, Gossip Girl is basically about this online anonymous blogger who blogs about the exciting lives of the upper class, rich kids with trust funds in a private school in NY and the gossip is going around.

it's like 8.30ish and i'm feeling so very sleepy. it's not even funny. i signed up for the ACT. and it feels so unreal. it's like i have to grow up now. i don't even feel like i'm 17. it's like wow! anyway i have to finish homework so i can go to sleep. and weirdly i haven't been feeling very hungry around dinner time. i eat during lunch but at dinner time i'm like only eating for the sake of eating. i hope it doesn't make me fatter. because my mum told me that by not eating your body actually has to keep some food stored up because it doesn't know when it's going to get food and you end up getting fatter instead of losing weight if you don't eat..that's why i have to eat even if i don't feel hungry. at least that's what i hear.

i watched hana kimi the japanese version. the one i watched before was the taiwanese version and overall i think they were both good:
Japanese version
1. better ending
2. "coincidences" seemed more real
3. main female character more attractive
4. supporting male characters also attractive

Taiwanese version
1. only 2 main males extremely hot
2. ending was a weird
3. funny events
4. longer so "connection" with actors created
IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!
i have to say i'm in a pretty awesome mood right now.
at least besides the fact that i have a major history test tomorrow that i have to study for.
other than that i have decided that i'm not some loner who doesn't have any "friends"
because i got a significant number of people wishing me happy birthday including people i didn't think would know when my birthday was. it was probably facebook telling them or something. but either way it made my day. i never really saw what was so great about having a birthday and celebrating it. but it's nice when people treat you nicely for a day. and only just you.
Hannah is currently in a good mood.
try this: watch a korean tv show on youtube while doing french homework.
my favorite things
korean/taiwanese dramas:
princess hours
full house
romantic princess
hana kimi
smiling pasta
why why love

and
guitar hero!!!

oh and i think my blog can count as a favorite thing.

random random thoughts (:

i don't have a favorite color. whether i like a color or not depends on how well it goes with other colors.

i don't have a favorite song/type of music. what kind of song i feel like listening to depends on my mood. and besides when i listen to a song, i focus on the melody not lyrics. which is weird considering that most people would say the opposite.

i hate to admit that i have an obession with something i.e. asian dramas and the hottie actors in them. even though i probably do. because i don't see myself as a fanatic. i'm just in a lifelong quest for knowledge and it just happens that i don't mind going to some random fansite to find out whether there's going to be a sequel or not and i happen to read that his birthday is the 10th of october. and i just happen to have some sort of photographic memory when it comes to birthdays. not by stalking but just subconsciously i associate the date with the person.
i'm not kidding, if i consider you a friend, i probably know when your birthday is if i've been told before...

ok i have two issues bothering me.

1) college major
i have no clue what to do about the future. about a college major. but not so much of choosing a major. but knowing what kind of direction i want to go towards. it's the professional/safe/boring/reliable/business/law/pre-med/accounting vs. fun/interesting thing that interests me but not necessarily profitable and will probably lead me to living life in a cardboard box...SHOULD YOU GO FOR SOMETHING THAT'S NOT SO CLEAR CUT WHERE YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO AFTER YOU LEAVE SCHOOL AND MIGHT HAVE TO LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX, OR SHOULD YOU GO FOR SOMETHING THAT'S COMMONPLACE/BORING/SAFE...???

2) religion
i question this faith. i'm a little confused. i mean it's only natural that every kid brought up in a christian family has to come to a point in his or her life where he/she goes through this kind of situation right? i just don't understand how a country like the US which is supposed to be christian with it's "one nation under God" and "in God we trust" yet can have an extremely corrupt culture in the sense that there likes kids taking drugs and drinking.. and i say kids not teens.. weird? and what about the fact that a lot of people here go to church but during the week act nothing like christians should. or how people go to church to feel good? the bible says that this world is just a temporary world and we shouldn't get caught up in it. but a lot of the christians here do. or should i say so-called christians. idk the church i went to and the culture i was in in singapore was really conservative compared to the culture here. and that is like making me wonder about this whole thing. i have to say also learning about pagans and the church history and reformation stuff in school outside of the church made me say like "waiitt....what?" i kinda felt like they were like telling half truths in church. i never really learnt that in sunday school. about the elect, predestined etc. all i heard was if you confess your sins and believe that jesus died for you you're saved and can go to heaven so simple that i really believed it. then i hear that if you're really saved your life will be changed and you'll do good works not because you have to but because you want to and try not to sin etc. like huh. it's every little while i get told something different. and what about the controversies about the bible being translated wrong and contradicting itself...etc. or how there are a much of denominations each claiming something different???how am i supposed to know that christianity doesn't feel right only because i was brought up by christian parents. but because i really do believe wholeheartedly like i used to when i was younger? and why is it that if i were to posed this dilemma to a pastor or christain they would most probably give advice and say pray and ask God? and read the bible? praying seems to be like thinking aloud. everyone says grace before a meal but do they really thank God for the food. it's like an extremely common custom here in the US i think. reading th bible? people study it and then claim it's translated wrong or it contradicts itself etc...huh?
unbelievable.
back to school tmr.
and it's so cold.
why would anyone want
to get up from bed early in the morning
and leave the house?
having a msn conversation with a good old friend makes things so much better. especially when you and that friend think so much alike! (: i'm not as depressed anymore.
ignore this post of my depression problems

my depression has reached an all time low. my laptop charger died on me. so i'm using this opportunity to cut down on computer dependency. but it's like a drug. you have to cut down in small doses or something. otherwise you'll have a terrible time codl turkey or something. it's not like i'm an expert at drugs. anyway everytime i forget about what i like in singapore and decide that i can handle not going back there one year i get online to facebook or friendster or go blog surfing. then i remember what i miss about sg. i saw pictures from the yf camp. it made me sad. it's amazing how 5 months went by so fast. and yet people can look so different. different hairstyles. more/less pimples. glasses or not. etc. it's sad. i still wonder what it would have been like if i had not left singapore. weird. i'd be going to jc like this week. weird. and maybe i'd still be playing netball. i'd probably be skinnier. here, you get fat easily without trying. the teens here are so not active if they aren't in some school team. and if they are in some school team, they'll hardly have any free time. because really more time is spent on practices for teams. it's ridiculous. who practices 6 days a week? sadly there aren't really any youth groups like those in singapore. or maybe it's because i haven't made an effort. but to tell you the truth, i really don't click well with the people here. even though i really have some very good friends. it takes me a while to feel any bonding or something. when i go back to singapore on vacation. i feel like i can fit in much easier. WHY?!?! i feel like i don't belong anywhere anymore. and it's making me depressed. i mean who in singapore still thinks of me daily? and still thinks i'm one of their good friends? i don't know what i'm supposed to do. i think that ever since we left singapore, i've been doing a lot of thinking. if my math is right, my blog started about a year or so before we left. and ever since we left i know i've had more spare time to think. and i know i actually paid attention, not only in class, but also to what was going on in my life. i was living life. before that, i was just kinda going from day to day, every day doing the same things.

ok. right now i'm not doing any sport whatsoever. i'm not playing any instrument. i'm not in any youth group. i'm not exactly amaziing at school. i don't have a job. i'm pathetic. that's why i'm saying i'm depressed. tell me why i'm depressed. because there's nothing interesting in my life i think. school is just about the most exciting thing in my life. how stupid is that. how was my christmas? how was my new year's? it was just like any other day. ok maybe a gift or two and some fireworks and dinner. but really it was like any other day. my depression is also some kind of lack of confidence. my self-worth is at an all-time low. i'm not happy.i would say that i would go for a run but it's like extremely cold out. i'm not joking. but that's only an excuse. i really am lazy. i went for a bike ride the other day. my butt hurt after a while. then i tossed the frisbee a little with the bro. but after a while he got distracted. and after that little bit of physical activity. i tell you, my shoulder hurt for about 2 days. and that time i went for that hike on the class trip. my knee hurt after that too. i'm seriously unfit. and the stupidest thing is that i've always loved physical activity and playing games for the fun of it and the fellowship and what not. that was a huge reason why i kept going to awana and yf in sg. now church here doesn't interest me at all. the people all seem like fake christians. in a country that claims to be a christian country with the presidents alll swearing-in on the bible, with one nation"under God"... in the plege of allegiance, with "in God we trust" on all the coins, it's very difficult to keep the faith when the culture here is so corrupt. tv channels like comedy central are extremely disgusting. that's why i hate to watch comedy here. it's so vulgar and wrong. back to me being unfit. another reason is that there isn't a sport here that i want to play. maybe track and field or softball but that's later in the spring. but really a large reason why i'm not doing anything is because i'm extremely lazy and i hate the idea of getting sweaty. with weather like this here you can avoid gettting sweaty all year round. getting sweaty is kinda like something you need to get used to again. and being lazy..i really am. i need some kind of driving force like a coach to get me working. every time i think about it. i decide i want to go out for a run or go to the gym but i keep putting it off. it's making me fat. and that gets me into the cycle of feeling depressed and all. so i stay at home and watch some tv dramas or movies where life always seems to have a happy ending and then become some kind of couch potato. and then i get more depressed when the show ends and i realize that life is not a happy ending. it never is. and then i get back into my whole cycle of depression. and when i'm not depressed. i don't blog. so to stalkers who do read this think i'm some crazy depressed kid. and that gets me all depressed again because here i think...i have no friends but stalkers to read my blog. but then when i get some comment on a tagboard i feel extremely naked that someone has read my innermost thoughts that i get more depressed and the cycle of depression continues... on occasions, i can probably think myself out of depression. but if sometimes i just work myself into a deeper depression. and then i feel like going to sleep and going to a happy place where i'm the lead actress in the drama of my life. where the handsome prince charming loves the princess so deeply.

ok i think i feel better. i'll stop before i get more depressed.
what a happy new year.

another thing: how is it that i have so much time to update this so often? when other people can update about 3 times a year? i must be so pathetic it's making me depressed.

another thing: the holidays are a time when people are most likely to be depressed - ironic. this holiday depression is real :

i really wanted to stay away from this blog at least until my birthday. but i'm seriously bored. i've decided not to watch anymore taiwanese dramas or korean dramas...for now. so i've got nothing better to do. i played guitar hero. i went on facebook. i have no emails to read and reply to. i watched tv. i went out for a bike ride. i ate. i slept. i played some piano. i've seriously got nothing to do.

but the main purpose of this post is to say that currently, i think that Cliffs of Dover is like the awesomest song ever! (if there's such a word as awesomest)
i'm thinking of taking a break from this blogging thing.
i can't help but feel exposed by whatever is on here.
it's unbelievable but i've had this thing since 2002? time flies.
i'll be back (arnold schwarzenegger voice)

i wonder what it would be like to be a spy....

i'd need to learn some taekwondo or judo or karate, and scuba diving, skydiving, bungee jumping, swording fighting, and shooting a gun or bow and arrows, and darts, some human anatomy (to do the hit one spot with a finger and the person passes out thing) and medicine stuff to take care of my injuries if any, computer hacking, survival skills, speed racing/extreme car manuvering and to drive in manual, diguise tactics, science (to make home bombs/other weapons..)

the lastest drama that i've been watching is called Hana Kimi. it's made from some manga or something. and basically it's like a taiwanese version of She's the Man or Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. well almost. the story is about a girl, played by Ella from S.H.E., who has a major crush on this high jumper see saw on tv all the way from the US. so she transfers to his school to get to know him. and since it's an all boys school, she poses as a male to go there. and how nice, she's happens to be his roommate! the whole story revolves around her problems while pretending to be a boy. extremely hilarious. wu chun plays the high jumper and personally i think he's pretty attractive.

usually i don't let attractive celebrities affect me much (other than subconsciously choosing to watch the movies with more attractive actors than those that don't) but this guy is pretty cool. he actually has a blog! http://www.wretch.cc/blog/wuchun10cool that makes him seem kinda down-to-earth because the content on there isn't like what i've seen on a certain sg kidscentral tv star's. i have to admit that i actually google him. i'm not exactly obsessed or anything. i just think he's cute. the other guy in the show is pretty cute too.

the 2 of them are from some boyband called Fahrenheit. that's supposed to be the next famous taiwanese boyband after F4.

anyway i was thinking. between asian boys and angmoh boys, i don't think i have a preference for either. there are definitely some excellent specimens of both types. but those are usually famous celebrities you'll never meet. so considering average males of both types i have to say that (just by judging the males i've met) angmohs do have stronger, more defined features, bigger built, etc. but who knows right? it's just natural selection to prefer the better looking and smarter ones. but weird it seems to be working a little off. marilyn monroe was pretty fat for today's standards. yet she was considered a curvy beauty during her time. i guess being fat used to mean you had the money to eat and sit around. now i think being fat kinda means you have no social life so you just eat and sit around. and being skinny is so "cool" that people actually have anorexia and bulimia.

ok. tomorrow we're going shopping. there's supposed to be a much of good sales on boxing day.
